BEAT DRUNX BIOGRAPHY

BEAT DRUNX is a Belgian hiphop group focused around producer/drummer/multi-instrumentalist One Cell. After a period of working with various deepfunk, rock and jazz formations, he teamed up with mc’s Rubski and Acrid Cast (a former member of Outspoken Members, part of the legendary Propaganda Tour) and DJ Court-A-Sock (an active member of DJ Grazzhoppa’s DJ Bigband and various other bands).

Together, they released their first album called Brewed & Bottled, a record that was received with praising voices in both the Belgian hiphop community and indie circles all over. This is mainly due to the musical touches of producer One Cell, who’s not afraid to interweave his beats with his experience as a drummer and a lifetime of influences spanning from deepfunk and psychedelic rock to jazz and Daptone Records.

BEAT DRUNX already provided support acts for artists such as GZA (Wu-Tang Clan), Roots Manuva, IAM, Kerry James, The Opposites, Zwart Licht. They are regular guests in Belgium’s most renowned hiphop shows such as The Hop (StuBru) and LDBK (FM Brussels).
